Mrs. Mildred Gray Epperson age 77, of Bimble, KY passed away Thursday morning at the Baptist regional medical Center in Corbin. She was first united in marriage to the father of her six children Otis Gray who preceded her in death and later on to Kenneth Eppeson who also preceded her in death. She was born on July 7, 1933 at Bimble, Ky to Bruce and Sarah Shelton Payne who preceded her in death. She was a Homemaker and a Member of Greasy Creek Baptist Church.
Besides her Husbands and parents she was also preceded in death by two Sons: Harold and Randall Gray and one Sister Daisy Hinkle.
Survivors include one son: Don Gray and wife Betty of Bimble, three daughters: Nita Grubb and husband Bo of Bimble, Gail Cooper and husband Eddie of Bimble, Sheila Rains and husband Ronal of Williamsburg, one brother: James Payne and wife Shirley of London, one sister: Barbara Cellentani and husband Richard of London. She was also survived by Ten Grandchildren and Fifteen Great Grandchildren and her very special friends Evelyn Powell, Velma Coffey and Sarah Epperson. Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mildred Gray Epperson will be conducted on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Chestnut and Rev. David Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the Bradford Cemetery at Gray with Rusty Hurley, Paul Grubb, Bryan Mills, Jeff Meadows, Johnny Gray and Bryant Rains serving as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Great Grandsons.
The family will receive friends at Hampton Funeral Home on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
