Mr. M.D. Brown age 78 of Hubbard, KY passed away Saturday June 30, 2007 in the Barbourville Nursing Home. He was born on April 14, 1929 and was the son of Dewey and Margaret Brown. He believed in the Holiness faith. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Wesley Brown, three sisters, Wyoming Brown, Dorothy Brown, and Judy Smith and three brothers, Chester, Denver and Asberry Brown.
SURVIVORS INCLUDE: Five Daughters: Sally Gallagher and husband Charles of Walker Park, Ky. Flora Brock of Barbourville, Ky. Chelsie Watson of Lexington, Ky. Mossie Brown of Scalf, Ky. and Kimberly Deaton and husband Charles of Cannon, Ky. Four Sons: Leslie Brown and wife Mary of Barbourville, Ky. Asberry Brown and wife Glenda of Walker Park, Ky. Gen. Hallix Brown of Somerset, Ky. and M.D. Brown Jr. of Scalf, Ky. Seven Brothers & Sisters: Elaine Gray and husband Garret of Flat Lick, Ky. Barbara Sue Gray of Flat Lick, Ky. Harvey Brown and wife Belinda of Scalf, Ky. Dewey Brown and wife Jacqueline of Scalf, Ky. Christine Brown and husband David of Michigan Gladys Hobbs and husband Dempsey of Scalf, Ky. and Wayne Brown of Scalf, Ky. Mr. Brown also leaves behind 21 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren in addition to a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Mr. Brown will be conducted on Wednesday-July 4, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stoney Brown and Rev. Gilbert Collins officiating. Pallbearers will be Mr. Brown’s grandsons. Burial will follow in the Hobbs Cemetery at Browns Branch. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
