Max Jones

Mr. Max Dale Jones, age 66 of Girdler, Ky. departed this life on Wednesday-February 7, 2007 in the Knox Co. Hospital. He was born on November 17, 1940 in Knox Co. to Ezra and Birdie (Wagers) Jones.
On
January 12, 1963 he united in marriage with Hazel Mills and to this
union one daughter was born. Mr. Jones attended the Locust Grove
Baptist Church. He enjoyed Hunting and Fishing. He is preceded in death
by his parents, Ezra and Birdie Jones, six brothers, Russell, Johnny, Pearl, Beve, and two infant brothers, Billy Franklin and Garrett Jones
Survivors include:
His
wife Hazel Jones of Girdler, Ky., one daughter, Tammy Lynn Deaton and
husband Gary of Girdler, Ky., One brother, Rufus Jones of Barbourville,
Ky., four sisters, Ruby Barnes of Girdler, Lily Carty and husband Gene
of Girdler, Lucy Abner and husband Clifford of Carlisle, Ohio and
Beulah Gilbert and husband Jack of Dayton, Ohio, two grandchildren,
Elizabeth Mills and husband Randall and Victoria Lauren Deaton all of
Girdler, two great grandchildren, Landen and Ethan Mills. Special
friends and neighbors Ray Dean and Betty Grubb.
Mr. Jones also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral
services for Mr. Max Dale Jones will be conducted on Sunday-February
11, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
David Barnard and Rev. Jimmy Siler officiating.
Pallbearers
will be family & friends. Honorary pallbearers will be, Landen and
Ethan Mills, Employees and Friends at McDonalds, the faculty and staff
of Flat Lick Elementary School, Dr. Vora and staff,
his
nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. Mr. Jones will be laid to rest
in the Carty Cemetery at Girdler. Hampton Funeral Home will be in
charge of arrangements.
