Mrs. Maudie Cox age 83, of Flat Lick, KY passed away Saturday at her residence. She was born on May 13, 1925 in Bell County, KY to the union of Perry and Katie Love Taylor. She loved spending time with her friends and was a member of Concord Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Perry and Katie Love Taylor and one son Larry Cox.
Survivors include one very special daughter and special son in law: Wanda Johnson and Kelly Johnson of Flat Lick, KY, three sons Jerry (Rabbit) Cox, Charles (Pinkie) Cox, Michael (Hill) Cox and wife Billie all of Flat Lick, KY, one half sister: Hallie Hanes of Indiana, one sister in law Fannie Taylor of Berea, KY and special friend Bill Barner. She is also survived by Thirteen Grandchildren, Thirty Great Grandchildren plus a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Maudie Cox will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday February 17, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. with Paul Fredrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Hammons Cemetery at Flat Lick with Jeff Cox, L.C. Cox, Hubert Cox, Jerry Paul Cox, Vinnie Cox and Michael David Cox serving as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be family and friends. The Family of Mrs Maudie Cox will receive friends at Hampton Funeral Home today from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 3:00 p.m. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
