Ms. Mattie Mills age 30 of Flat Lick, KY passed away Saturday – November 01, 2008 in the Knox County Hospital. She was the daughter of Haskel & Sharon Mills, born to them on May 4th, 1978 in Bell County. Mattie believed in the Baptist faith and attended the Pleasant View & Mount Arab Church. She enjoyed all holidays and her favorite thing was Soda Pop, she never meet a stranger. Survivors include her parents, Haskell Tye & Sharon Mills of Flat Lick, KY, one brother Haskell James Mills, & Veronica of Barbourville, KY, one nephew Zachary Mills, and two nieces Samantha Miracle & Renee Hensley. Mattie also leaves behind a beloved uncle Danny Mills, an Aunt Sue Hensley, also Robert Reel & Debbie. Plus a host of other uncles and aunt’s relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Ms. Mattie Mills will be conducted on Wednesday – November the 5th, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Collins, and Columbus Hensley officiating. Pallbearers will be Billy Mills, James Hensley, Jerry Baker, Danny Baker, Kyle Reel, Earl Smith, Vernon Frederick, Kenny Fredrick, David Spivey and Randy Hobbs. Honorary Pallbearers will be her family Dr. Parulekar and Dr. Pederson & staff and the Knox County Ambulance Service. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
