Mrs. Mary Jane Stanton, age 71, of Amelia, Ohio departed this life on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at her home. She was the daughter of Johnny and Dorothy (Collins) Woolum, born to them on November 18, 1946 in Barbourville, Kentucky. Mary Jane was a homemaker who enjoyed playing guitar, sewing, gardening and reading her bible. She was a member of the Faith Chapel Ministries Church in Amelia, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Stanton, her parents Johnny and Dorothy (Collins) Woolum and a brother Johnny Woolum,
Left behind to mourn her passing are her cousin Lillian Smith (Don) of Barbourville, Kentucky, niece/cousin Sandy Collins Stockton of Amelia, Ohio, cousins Effie Collins Richter and husband Jim of Bethel, Ohio, James Collins and wife Karen of Hammersville, Ohio, Blanche Collins (Herman) of Barbourville, Kentucky and Paul Collins and wife Joan. She also leaves behind a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jane Stanton will be conducted on Monday, Aprl 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel in Barbourville, Kentucky, with Reverend Glenn Collins officiating. Pallbearers will be Dakota Stockton, Mark Stockton, Jimmy Stockton and Jimmy Collins. She will be laid to rest in the Farley Cemetery at Himyar, Kentucky. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements. Friends will be received at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
