Mrs. Mary Ann Smith age 42 of Corbin, Ky. passed away Saturday-June 15, 2007 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.
. She was the wife of Shorty Smith. Mrs. Smith was the daughter of Laymond Barnes and Ethel Elam born to them on December 18, 1964 in Knox Co. Kentucky. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Corbin, Ky. Her father and one brother Timothy Barnes preceded Mrs. Smith in death. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: Her husband: Shorty Smith of Corbin, Ky. Her mother: Ethel Elam of Corbin, Ky. Two daughters: Martha Brooks and husband Billy of Corbin, Ky. Angela Burgin and husband Bobby of Corbin, Ky. Two sons: Harley Smith and wife Tiffany of Corbin, Ky. Dillion Smith of Corbin, Ky. Two brothers: Morris Barnes and wife Chelsea of Girdler, Ky. David Barnes and wife Sherry of Girdler, Ky. Mrs. Smith also leaves behind six grandchildren: Suzon, Tyson, Dakota, Whitney and Noah to mourn her passing in addition to a host of friends and neighbors. Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be conducted on Tuesday-June 19, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Corbin, Ky. with Rev. Dorsey King officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will follow at the Smith Cemetery in Corbin, Ky. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
