Mary Jane (Miller) Buchanan

Mrs. Mary Jane Buchanan age 86 of Corbin, KY departed this life on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at her home. She was born in Knox Co. KY on March 6, 1930 and was the daughter of William Merida Miller and Bessie Emily (Miracle) Miller. On October 4, 1947, she united in marriage with Lee Rose Buchanan and to this union nine children were born. She believed in the Holiness faith, she loved spending time with her family and gardening and especially loved to cook and share it with all her friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her husband and parents along with one daughter, Stella Mae Buchanan, four sons, Charles Lee Buchanan, Jimmy Edward Buchanan, Billy Ray Buchanan and James Russell Buchanan and several brothers and sisters.

Left behind to mourn her passing, her loving daughters Betsy Tuttle, Ima Faye Hill and husband Sidney and Virginia Robinson and husband Howard all of Corbin and Florence Rice and husband Rex of Barbourville. She also leaves behind twenty-one grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren along with a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jane Buchanan will be conducted on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cobb Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brandon Dunn and Rev. Terry Robinson officiating. Pallbearers will be, Nathan Brown, Sidney Hill, Kenny Buchanan, Zachary Brown, Shane Gray, Larry Gray, Rex Rice and Samuel Buchanan. She will be laid to rest in the Buchanan Cemetery at Rockhold, KY. Cobb Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Cobb Hampton Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m.
