Mrs. Mary Brown age 63 of Scalf, KY departed this life on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at her daughter's home. She was the wife of Glen Brown and the daughter of Charlie Brown and Cleo (Mills) Brown. She was born on February 21, 1951 in Knox Co. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a member of the Road Fork Holiness Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Amy Delia Brown, three brothers, Goble, Vic and Ed Brown and two sisters, Loretta Bennett and Dora Price.
Left behind to mourn her passing, three sons, Gary Brown and wife Jennifer of Barbourville, Glen Brown, Jr. and wife Betty and Dickie Brown all of Scalf, one daughter, Cleo Mills of Walker, one brother, Bearll Brown and wife Hersie of Turkey Creek, two sisters, Pauline Brown and Francis Brown both of Scalf, seven grandchildren, Makayla, Tyler, Jerry Wayne, Amy, Dickie, Jr, Jasmine and Jayden, three great grandchildren, Cameron, Riley and Koby, great nephews, Ollis Burnette and William Bailey. Mrs. Brown also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Brown will be conducted at the Road Fork Holiness Church on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Stoney Brown and Rev. Gilbert Collins officiating. Pallbearers will be Vernon Bennett, Jeff Brown, Nathaniel Brown, Goble Brown, Randy Brown, Carlos Mills, and Steven Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be, Dr. Talmadge Hayes, Hospice of the Bluegrass and nurse Stephanie. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery at Scalf, KY Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Road Fork Holiness Church on Tuesday evening after 6:00 p.m . until the hour of service on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
