Mrs. Mary Doris Boone age 75 of Lafollette, TN was born on March 15, 1939 and passed away November 23, 2014 at Tennova Medical Center in Lafollette. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R.R. Boone, her father Robert "Bob" Smith and a sister Patsy Mays.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Caldwell and husband Denny of Harrogate, TN, four grandchildren, Robert Caldwell, Danielle Caldwell, Miranda Caldwell and Savannah Caldwell all of Harrogate, TN, her mother Hazel Smith, a sister Jewell Dean Smith and husband Elisha all of Barbourville, a sister Helen Fisher and husband Randall of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, her best friend of forty three years Andrew King. She also leaves behind a host of many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Doris Boone will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Sylvester Dunn and Rev. Demus Couch officiating. Pallbearers will be Ricky Mills, Mark Smith, Adam Mills, Austin Smith, Doyle Caldwell, Sonny Lee Caldwell, Tony Caldwell, Anthony Caldwell, Greg Brown and Taylor Pierce. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Cemetery at Middlesboro. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m.
