Marvin Payne

Mr. Marvin Payne age 73 of Girdler, KY departed this life on Saturday, February 27, 2010 in the UK Medical Center in Lexington. He was the son of Elijah and Mattie Payne and was the husband of Sue Payne. Mr. Payne was a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to church and loved just being around people.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elijah and Mattie (Hampton ) Payne, one brother, Hubert Payne and seven sisters, Tressie Warren, Thelma Jones, Mable White, mary Belle Gray, Cleadie Payne, Arvalene Daniels and Eulene Sproles.
Left behind to mourn his passing is his wife Sue Payne of Girdler, KY, two sons, David Payne and wife Kim of Bimble, KY and Scott Payne and wife Rhonda of Cannon, KY, two brothers, George Payne and wife Pat of Carrolton, Georgia and Jim Payne and wife Juanita of Cincinnati, Ohio, one sister, Meck Mays of Heidrick, KY, five grandchildren, David Ryan Payne, Megan Payne, Tiffany Suttles, Jacen Payne and Peyton Payne, his mother in law, Esther Raney of Girdler, Ky and two brothers in law, Don Daniels of Barbourville and Carl Daniels of Gatlinburg, TN. Mr. Payne also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Marvin Payne will be conducted on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Barnard and Rev. Jimmy Siler officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews of Mr. Payne, Honorary pallbearers will be all the men of the Locust Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery at Girdler, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton fFneral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00p.m. and on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
