Mrs. Martha Warren Riddle age 84, of Barbourville passed away Saturday at the Christian Health Care Center in Corbin. She was born on July 12, 1925 at Walker, Ky to the union of John A. and Bertha Bingham Warren. She was united in marriage to Arthur E. Riddle. She was a homemaker, teacher and a member of Grace Community Church. Her family meant everything to her, she also loved to Quilt and raise flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur E. Riddle and her parents John A. and Bertha Bingham Warren and two infant children. Three brothers: Curt Warren, L.B. Warren and M.G. Warren, two sisters: Dorothy Hopkins and Mary Shoemaker, one grandchild Wesley Eugene Riddle and one son in law Alvin Barnes.
Survivors include two sons: Calvin E Riddle and wife Glenda of Gray, KY, Warren Mark Riddle and wife Diann of Corbin, KY, three daughters Mary Helen Barnes of Corbin, KY, Nancy A. Curry and husband Frank of Corbin, KY and Patti J. Jarvis and husband Hobie of Lexington, KY, four brothers Sol Warren of Barbourville, KY, Charles Warren and wife Juanita of Indianapolis, IN, Jay Warren and wife Lillie of Bimble, KY and Bige Warren and wife Phyllis of Walker, KY, two sisters Lois Mills and husband Otis of Newport, TN, Sallie Cox and husband John of Hinkle, KY seven grandchildren Jessica Williams, Sarah Hazelwood, Mark Barnes, Billie Barnes, Melissa Murphy, Kari Jarvis and Ashley Riddle, two great grand children Noah and Ryan Williams. The following step grandchildren Tiffany, Jason Curry, Elizabeth Byrd, Katie Hammons and Billie Reynolds and step great grandchildren Alex Bolton, Kelsey Curry, Draven Byrd, Sarah Curry, Macy Hammons, Gabriel Reynolds, Cameron Smith, Jenny Hammons and Bethany Smith plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Warren Riddle will be conducted on Monday September 14, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Shelton and Bro. Larry Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery with Nephews and Family members serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Kristi Atienza and staff of Christian Health Care.
The Family will receive friends at Hampton Funeral Home on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 1:00 p.m.
