Martha Mills Byrd, age 68 of Corbin, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 4, 2016 in the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky. She was born January 29, 1948 in Heidrick, Kentucky to the late Clark and Esline Jordan Mills. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gary Byrd, daughter Diana Rose Hembree and sister Debbie Karen Mills. Martha was a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend.
She leaves behind her son Stanley Hembree and wife Michelle of Hamilton, Ohio; seven grandchildren: Kristy Bingham of Kentucky, Jeremey Hembree and wife Angela, Courtey Brown and husband Chris, Justin Hembree and wife Brittany, and Jacob Hembree all of Ohio, Brittany Runyon and Michael Runyon both of Kentucky. She also leaves behind 16 great-grandchildren. She will be truly missed and forever in our hearts.
Funeral Service for Martha Byrd will be conducted on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 1:00PM in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Morris and Rev. Darrell Bargo officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Callebs Creek Cemetery with Jeremy Hembree, Justin Hembree, Michael Runyon, Jacob Hembree, Chris Brown and Tammy Price serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at Hampton Funeral Home.
