Mrs. Marie Abner age 94 of the Trace Branch Community, went home to be with the Lord on Monday evening, October 26, 2015. She was born on October 17, 1921 to Finley and Elizabeth Fisher. She united in marriage with C.S. Abner and to this union two children were born. Marie was a member of the Trace Branch Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband C.S. Abner along with four brothers and their wives, McKinley Abner and wife Jeannie, Lester Abner and wife Elsie, Harold Fisher and wife Florene and Bill Abner and wife Sallie and four sisters and their husbands, Hilda Watkins and husband Tommy, Dorothy Gemberski and husband Phil, Pearl Morris and husband Willie and Sarah Bennett and husband Everett, a great grandson, Cody Mahan ,a son in law, P.L. Parrott and a sister in law, Mae Fisher.
Those left behind to mourn her passing, her two loving children, Betty Jean Parrott of Trace Branch and Donnie Abner and wife Wilene of New Boston, Michigan, a brother Charles Ed Fisher of Trace Branch, five grandchildren, Scott Parrott and fiance' Vanessa of Flat Lick, Bill Parrott and wife Robin of Trace Branch, Marisa Bell and husband Steve of New Boston, Michigan, Lisa Mahan and husband Paul of Knoxville, TN, Todd Parrott and wife Wendie of Dry Ridge, KY, seven great grandchildren, Josh Parrott and wife Tracie of London, Coty Parrott and fiancé Amber of Bailey Switch, Dana Parrott and Amanda Parrott both of Jamestown, KY, Cassidy Mahan of Knoxville, TN and Nick Parrott and Braden Parrott both of Dry Ridge, KY, one great-great grandchild, Sawyer Parrott. She also leaves behind two very special caregivers, Elsie Fisher and Beverly Lamb along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. The family would also like to express their appreciation to Dr. Vora and staff for all their care for Marie.
Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Abner will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Delilah Miller and Rev. Johnny Fisher officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons, honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters and great granddaughters. She will be laid to rest in the Fisher Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 12:00 noon.
