Mrs. Maggie Franke age 69 of Dewitt, KY departed this life on Friday, October 17, 2008 at her home. She was the widow of John Franke and the daughter of Finley & Alice Burnett born to them on March 11, 1939 in Knox Co., KY. She was a member of the Union Mission Baptist Church and loved gardening and quilting. Her parents, Finley and Alice Burnett, her husband John Franke and one brother, George Burnett, precede her in death.
Left behind to mourn her passing is one son, Lester Hensley and wife Malvie of Dewitt, four daughters, Peggy Guess and husband Lee of Dewitt, Mary Alice Carnes and husband Larry of Flat Lick, Judy Roberts of Barbourville and Linda Santos and husband Don of Jacksonville, Florida, two brothers, Bob Burnett and Roy Burnett both of Dewitt, three sisters, Bessie Asher and husband Mike of Pineville, Annie Butts and husband Ronnie of Ohio and Mary& husband Louie Hughes of Ohio, and five step children, John Franke, Jr & wife Candace of Keystone Heights, FL, Trisha Rodeheffer & husband Kevin of Rossburg, Ohio, LuCinda Johnson & husband Tom of Sheridan, AR, David Franke of Alford, FL, Robert Franke & wife Penny of Jacksonville, FL, 30 Grand children and 19 Great Grandchildren. Maggie also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral service for Mrs. Maggie Franke will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Monday 20th, 2008 at 12:00 noon, with the Rev. Donnie Mills & Rev. Rick Partin officiating. Pallbearers will be Family & Friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tri – County Hospice. Interment will be at the Franke Family Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
