Mr. Mack Senior Baker age 70 of Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life on Tuesday, October 26, 2017 in the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin. He was the son of Charles Eugene Baker and Della (Baker) Smith born to them on February 19, 1947 in Knox County, Kentucky.  Mack was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He was an independent truck driver.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by two grandchildren Taylor Weedman and Zoe Weedman: His brothers Elmer Baker, Dennis Baker and Archie Jefferson Baker all of Barbourville, and one sister Bonnie Powell.

He leaves behind to mourn his passing: One son, Anthony Jason Baker and wife Charlotte of Joseph City, Arizona; One daughter, Lavonda Carol Weedman and husband Tim of Elizabethtown, Kentucky: One brother, Elvis Smith and wife Prudie of Barbourville: One sister, Barbara Hall and husband Wayne of Barbourville: Seven grandchildren, Ashley Crowson and husband Jason, Isaac Weedman, Shekinah Weedman, Ellie Weedman, Seth Baker, Danielle Baker and Tyra Baker: a very special friend, Teresa Smith Goodin. He also leaves behind a host of family and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. Mack Senior Baker will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Kennon Roark officiating. Burial will follow in the Macroe Branch Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The Baker family will receive friends at the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 after 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.

Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
