Mr. Luther Quinton Callebs age 81 of Hinkle, KY departed this life on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in the Knox Co. Hospital. He was born on November 3, 1932 in Barbourville, KY and was the son of Lewis and Mollie (LeMaster) Callebs. He retired from Ford Motor Co and was a member of the Dripping Springs Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, John Cecil Callebs and one sister, Marie Callebs.
Left behind to mourn his passing is his three sons, Jeff Callebs and wife Patricia of Belleville, Michigan, Eddie Callebs of Callebs Creek and Darryl Callebs of Livonia, Michigan, four daughters, Elaine Collinsworth of Barbourville, KY, Sharon Snell and husband James of London, KY, Treasa Callebs of Taylor, Michigan and Lisa Callebs of Callebs Creek, four sisters, Gail Moore of Taylor, Michigan, Flossie Capshaw of McMinnville, TN, Edith Rabb and husband Ronnie of Monroe, NC and Dorie Callebs of Taylor, Michigan. He also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Luther Callebs will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ricky Broughton and Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating. Pallbearers will be, John Cecil, Allen Moore, Doug Capshaw, Keith Moore, Ricky Callebs, Mike Moore, James Snell, Anthony Liford and Gary Liford. Burial will follow in the Callebs Creek Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m.
