Louise Anna Maria Martin

Mrs. Louise Anna Maria Martin, age 76, of Barbourville, KY, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Baptist Health, Corbin. She was the daughter of the late Eino Okkonen and Helvi Wintturi Okkonen, born to them in Ashland, Wisconsin, on August 14, 1936. She had been baptized at the Christian Life Fellowship Church, and attended several Baptist churches. Mrs. Martin had worked for 23 years at Union College where she was a computer operator and later as a data entry supervisor.
Mrs. Louise Martin is survived by three sons: Scott Martin and wife Cindy, Tupelo, Mississippi, Randy Martin and wife Gina, Corbin, KY, and Brad Martin and wife Christie of Heidrick, KY, six grandsons, Tyler, Bradley, Jordan, Trey, Tucker and Conner Martin and one granddaughter, Darby Martin, two brothers, Wilho Okkonen and wife Hazel, Scofield, Wisconsin, and Arnold Okkonen, Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, six grandsons and one granddaughter, and several other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Martin will be conducted in the chapel of the Hampton Funeral Home on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. James Vandy officiating. Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 4:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Martin Cemetery, Heidrick, KY, with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
