Mrs. Lois Jerre Prichard age 66 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Tuesday,
June 24, 2008 in the Knox Co. Hospital. She was the widow of Charles Prichard and the daughter of Lester and Birdie Longsworth Jackson born to them on September 26, 1941 in Knox Co., KY.
Mrs. Prichard was a member of the Barbourville Church of God and was retired from Tremco here in Barbourville. She loved the outdoors especially gardening and working in her flowers.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Prichard, her parents, Lester & Birdie Jackson, two sisters, Alene Gray and Norma Jean Jackson along with one brother, Harold Jackson.
Left behind to mourn her passing, one daughter Donna Johnson and husband Doug of Clermont, Florida, one brother, Wendell Jackson and wife Joann of Heidrick, KY and two sisters, Helen Davis of Heidrick, KY and Zelma Stevens of Stephen Trace, Barbourville, one grand daughter, Darla Johnson of Clermont, Florida, special sisters & brothers in law, Flossie and Jimmie Carmen, J.B. Prichard, Marcus Bryant and Bobby Prichard. She also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Prichard will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Sylvester Dunn and Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating. Pallbearers will be Derek Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Keith Johnson, Tim Johnson, Sr., Tim Johnson, Jr. and Mark Gray. Honorary Pallbearers will be her former co-workers at Tremco. Mrs. Prichard will be laid to rest in the Bryant Cemetery at Little Poplar Creek. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m. and Friday until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m.
