Linzie Broughton

Mr. Linzie Broughton age 74 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Friday, October 6, 2017 at his home. He was born on August 13, 1943 in Knox Co and was the son of Henry Broughton and Nicey Bright Broughton. He believed in the Holiness faith. He enjoyed playing cards, laughing and joking and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Donna Gail Baker, three brothes, Leamon Broughton and Homer Broughton and an infant brother, Lee Broughton, one sister, Irene Mills and a grandson Travis Lee Gray.

Left behind to mourn his passing, two sons, Jimmy Baker and wife Audrey and Larry Broughton and wife Rhonda, all of Dewitt and a daughter Kathleen Broughton and husband Don of Barbourville, two brothers, Clifford Broughton of Dewitt and Henry Broughton, Jr and wife Wilma of Gray, four sisters, Kathleen Bright and husband CH of Ohio, Forstene Mills of Dewitt, Lorene Barnes and husband Larry of Ohio and Nadine Smith and husband Woodrow of Indiana, five grandchildren, Joshua Kyle Gray, Jacob Baker, Dylon Baker, Cameron Broughton and Landon Donaldson, four great grandchildren, Axel Baker, Madison Gray, Katonna Gray and Kallie Gray. He also leaves behind a host of many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral service for Mr. Linzie Broughton will be conducted in the Cobb Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday October 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Gilbert Collins and Rev. Stoney Brown officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will follow in the Manning Cemetery. Cobb Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
