Mrs. Lillie Mae Hinkle age 63 of Corbin, KY formerly of Flat Lick passed away on Friday night , January 27th, 2012 at her home. She was the wife of Matthew Hinkle and the daughter of the late Willie "Bill" & Lena (Gray) Hobbs of Knox County born to them on May 9, 1948.
Mrs. Hinkle was a homemaker and believed in the Pentecostal faith and attended the Brush Creek Community Church.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son Bradley Dewayne Warren, Former husband John A. Townsley, one sister Jeweleen Hobbs and two nieces Teresa Hobbs, and Mattie Mills.
Left behind to mourn her passing is her husband Matthew Hinkle, daughters Melissa Renee Carroll & husband Joe of Pineville, Michelle Wombles & husband Ed of Flat Lick, and Kimberly Renee Philpot & husband John of Pineville, nine stepchildren Kay Day & husband Steve of Clinton, TN, Gary Hinkle & wife Teresa of Barbourville, Oliver Hinkle of West Liberty, Betty Deaton & husband David of Hinkle, Lynn Richardson & husband Robbie of VA, Shelia Burnette & husband Kevin of Williamsburg, Charlie Hinkle & wife Michelle of Girdler, Danny Hinkle & wife Eva of Hinkle and Jerry Hinkle & wife Anita of Barbourville, eight sisters Anna Faye Burnett , Barbara Saylor & husband Grant, Wanda Sue Hobbs , Mary Johnson & husband Jr all of Flat Lick, Mossie Brock of Pineville, Wilma Emert & husband Frank of Middlesboro, Sharon Hammons & husband Jerry of Artemus, and Brenda McGartha & husband Terry of Alabama. Five grandchildren Eric Carnes & wife Nicole, Nicholas Carnes & wife Jessi, Kayla Brown & husband Matthew, John Bingham, and Logan Philpot, 31 step-grandchildren, five Great grandchildren Joshua Broughton, Haven Ledford, Conner Brown, Jorja Carnes , and Jayla Carnes and eight step-grandchildren. Plus a host of nieces & nephews, family and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hinkle will be conducted on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 @ 1:00 p.m. In the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Butch Pridemore & Rev. Reed Murphy officiating. Pallbearers will be Denny Hinkle, Charlie Hinkle, Jerry Hinkle, Gary Hinkle, Ted Hobbs, Ricky Hobbs, Timothy Smith, Austin Hobbs, Larry Hobbs, and Quinn Hobbs. Honorary Pallbearers are Michael Smith and Hospice of the Bluegrass. Burial will follow in the Hammons Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
