Mrs. Lillie (Epperson) Brown age 66 of Scalf, KY passed away on Friday, December 30th, 2011 in the Central Baptist Hospital. She was the widow of Ed Brown and the daughter of the late Richard & Mollie (Jones) Epperson born to them on December 25th, 1945 in Knox County.
Lillie was of the Holiness faith and attended the Faith House of Prayer, she was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, attending church, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers George and Jessie Epperson.
Left behind to mourn her passing is her four children Ed Jr, Brown & wife Michelle, Herman Brown, Betty Mills & husband Randall, and Loretta Burnett & husband Donald all of Scalf, KY. Three brothers John Epperson of Barbourville, KY, Charlie Epperson of Toledo, Ohio, and James Epperson & wife Gladys of Bimble, KY. Four sisters Dorothy Styler of Flat Lick, KY, Kathy Epperson of Hinesville, GA, Dora Smith & husband Ronnie of Michigan, and Sally Gray & husband Mike of Flat Lick, KY. Eight grandchildren Herman, Zackery, Nathen, Logan, Carl Richard, Ollis, William and Deanna and one Great- grandchild Lillie Grace. Two very special nephews Goble Brown, and Jerry Benttine. Plus a host of other relative and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Lillie Brown will be conducted on Wednesday, January 4th, 2012 @ 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Brian Miracle & Rev. Harold Jean Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Family & Friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Reedy, Dr Oslen & staff, and Dr. Hayes & staff. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery at Scalf, KY. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
