Mr. Leonard Williamson, age 85 of Hinkle, Ky. departed this life on Monday, October 8, 2007 in the Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin, Ky. He was born on July 30, 1922 in Knox Co., Ky. to Clark & Bertha (Callebs) Williamson one of twelve children. He was a retired factory worker from Ball Cranks in Cincinnati, Ohio and he loved fishing, whittling, chewing tobacco and watching Nascar races. He is preceded in death by his wife Vivian Joyce (Burdine) Williamson, his parents, Clark and Bertha Williamson, four brothers, Otis, Ray, Corb and Gaston Williamson and one sister, Opal Smith.
Survivors include: His companion of eighteen years, Zelma Hubbard of Hinkle, Ky. One son, Rick Williamson and friend Sue Davis of Himyar, Ky., one daughter, Cathy Williamson of Somerset, Ky., two extra grandchildren that lived with him, Brandi Hubbard and T.J. Hubbard, Jr., two brothers, Garrett Williamson of Hinkle, Ky. and Lester Williamson and wife Bobbie of Cincinnati, Ohio, four sisters, Trula Caudill and husband Ivan of Cincinnati, Ohio, Sylvia Beddow of Oakley, Ohio, Lela Broughton and husband Eli of Amelia, Ohio and Juanita Engle of Hinkle, Ky. two grandchildren, Jamie Bray and wife Christina and Amber Terry and husband Johnny all of Somerset and two great grandchildren, Shelby Dawn Terry and Syanna Rae Terry of Somerset. Mr. Williamson also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Mr. Leonard Williamson will be conducted on Friday –October 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Danny Hembree and Rev. E.C. Fields officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will be in the Barnesburg Cemetery in Somerset, Ky. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
