Mr. Leonard Carnes, age 66 of Corbin, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at his home. He was the son of the late Leonard and Carrie Hoskins Carnes, born to them on December 10, 1948 in Bell County, Kentucky. Leonard was a truck driver and delivered pipes and supplies to the Alaskan Pipeline during the 1970's. Along with his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by a brother, David Cares and a sister, Beulah Mae.
He is survived by his daughter, Mitzi Hensley of Falmoth, Kentucky: A brother, General Lee Carnes and wife Joyce of Covington, Kentucky: Three
grandchildren, Brandon, Nathan and Stephanie all of Falmoth, Kentucky and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Leonard Carnes, will be conducted in the chapel of the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Ricky Mason and Rev. Derek Swords officiating. Burial will follow in the Hammons Cemetery at Flat Lick with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday, July 23, 2015 after 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Friday, after 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 2:00.
