Leona Dexter Mills

Mrs. Leona Dexter Mills age 87 of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Flat Lick, KY departed this life in Arizona on Saturday, July 19, 2014 in the Emeritus Nursing Facility. She was born in Virginia on February 9, 1927 and was the daughter of Benjamin and Sarah Helton. She was also the widow of Vernon Mills. Her husband and parents precede her in death.
Mrs. Mills was a member of the Artemus Baptist Church and had worked in Norwood, Ohio for thirty years at RCA.
Mrs. Mills is survived by one daughter Denny Johnson of Mesa, Arizona, two grandchildren, a brother in law, Bill Mills and a close friend June Valentine both of Flat Lick.
A graveside service for Mrs. Mills will be conducted on Friday at 12:00 noon at the Farley Cemetery at Himyar with Rev. Lonzo Messer officiating.
Family & Friends will gather at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
