Mrs.Lena McCartt age 92 of Gray, Ky., passed away on Friday morning July 25,2008 In the Knox County Hospital. She was born on July 30, 1915 to the union of William Bill Owens and Mandy Spurlock Owens. She was a Homemaker and a believer in the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Zack T. McCartt, her parents wIlliam Bill Owens and Mandy Spurlock Owens. Two Brothers Frank and Walter Owens and by five sisters Eillie Baker, Orie Dollin, Flosssie Owens, Katie Owens and Ersie Lawson.
Survivors include one son Frankie McCartt and wife Sandra of Clinton, Michigan and one daughter Opal McCartt of Gray, Ky. three grandchildren and one Great Garndchild. Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Lena McCartt will be conducted on Saturday July 26, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Garrett Garland officiating. Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery at Gray, KY. With family and friends serving as pallbearers. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
