Lena Foster

Lena Mae Foster, age 62, of Brookville, Indiana passed away Tuesday-September 16, 2008 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Cloyd & Mary (Mills) Smith born to them March 31, 1946 in Barbourville, KY. She lived much of her life in Franklin County, Indiana. She was united in marriage on July 3, 1964 to Thomas E. Foster who survives her. Ms. Foster had worked at Campbell Hausfield in Harrison for several years, and was a member of the Scipio United Baptist Church in Scipio. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister Bernice Smith, one brother, R.A. Smith, great-granddaughter Jaiden Renee Griffin.
Survivors for Ms. Foster include her husband of 44 years Thomas Foster, two daughters Regina L. Thalheimer and Laura D. Callahan both of Brookville, two sons Tony Dwayne Foster and Rodney Lee Foster of Brookville, sister Marie Jordan of Barbourville, KY , six brothers George Smith of Somerset, KY, R. B. Smith of West Harrison, Ind, Ford Smith of Barbourville, KY, David Smith of Brookville, Ind., Arthur Smith of Barbourville, KY and Johnny Smith of Hamilton, Ohio, 13 grandchildren as well as 7 great-grandchildren in addition to friends and family to mourn her passing. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday-September 19, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Scipio United Baptist Church in Scipio. Burial will follow at the Springfield Cemetery in Bath , Indiana. Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends Thursday-September 18, 2008 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
