Mrs. Lena Marie Conley age 85 of Pasadena, Texas, formerly of Barbourville, departed this life on Monday, May 11, 2015 in the Vista Care Nursing Home in Pasadena, Texas. She was born on May 6, 1930 and was the daughter of Oliver Eugene DeLong and Jean Beckham Shannon DeLong.
Mrs. Conley was a member of the Middletown Methodist Church and had been a hairdresser. She was the owner/operator of Dawn's Hair Stylist in St. Matthews in the Louisville, KY area for many years. She also had held many offices in the Eastern Star and she was an avid quilter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Eugene Conley, a daughter, Kathy Jo Stangle, one brother, Pearson DeLong and two sisters, Pearl Maybrier and Betty Moooneyham and her husband Jim Matt.
Left behind to mourn her passing, her loving daughters, Debra Lynn Conley of Florida and Vicki Batras and husband Daniel of Texas, five grandchildren, Dawn Michelle Garcia, Nathan Stangle, Adam Eugene Conley, Danny Batras and Ellis Batras, two great grandchildren, Alex and Aaron Garcia, one brother, Charles DeLong and wife Maxine of Marion, Ohio, a brother in law and sister in law, Carolyn DeLong of Leitchfield, KY and Bill Maybrier of Corbin. She also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
A visitation will be held for Mrs. Lena Marie Conley on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Hampton Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Family and friends will go in procession to the Mooneyham Patterson Martin Cemetery at Hinkle for burial.
