Mr. Lee Manuel Taylor, age 80 of Knox County Ky departed this life on Friday September 28, 2012 in the Corbin nursing home. He was the husband of the late Marie Hubbard Taylor and the son of the late George W. and Gracie Rice Taylor and was born to them on June 22, 1932. Mr. Taylor was a Veteran of the United States Army and had been a Coal Miner and Welder.
In addition to his wife and parents, He was also preceded in death by a sister; Ruth Jackson and two Brothers; Don and Rob Bingham.
Left behind to mourn his passing are the following members of his family; His first Wife Thelma Saylor Ciferri, 8 Children; Velvie Louise Maples and Husband Charles, Margie Marie McDonald and Husband Bradley, William Lee Taylor, Gary Wayne Taylor and Wife Joyce, Terry Stevie Taylor and Wife Nora, Brenda Kaye Fugate, Ronald Taylor and Wife Kathy and Lydia Jean McKeehan, One Brother Garfield Taylor and Sisters Lucy, Ella and Cordie. Mr. Taylor also leaves behind a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and many friends and loved ones to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Lee Taylor will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday October 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bradley McDonald officiating. Pallbearers will be William Taylor, Gary Taylor, Ronald Taylor, Terry Taylor, Dustin Fugate, Doug Fugate and Jessie Fugate. Burial will follow in the Slusher Cemetery at Rockholds.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 1 from 5 until 9 p.m. at the Hampton Funeral Home which is in charge of all arrangements.
