Mr. L.B. Lambert age 81 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 in the Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin, KY. He was born on July 7, 1929 in Knox Co. and was the son of Lewis Newt Lambert and Nola West Lambert and the husband of Kavedia Pauline Bennett Lambert. Mr. Lambert was a retired brick mason. He believed in the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Nola Lambert, five brothers, Charles, Harold, Kenneth and twins Tom & Roger Lambert and three sisters, Thelma Davis, May Jean Myers and Sally Warren.
Survivors include his wife, Kavedia Pauline Lambert of Barbourville, five daughters, Brenda Cooper and husband Eddie of Smokey, Malvie Merida of Boone Height, Debbie Bowers and husband Raymond of Walterboro, SC, Janet Bargo and husband Lonnie of Somerset, KY and Angela Anderson and husband Jessie of Spartanburg, SC, two sons, Darrell Yother and wife Pat of Poplar Creek and Lewis Lambert, Jr. and wife Sharon of Corbin, one brother, James Lambert and wife Nancy of Trace Branch. He also leaves behind nineteen grandchildren and thirty three great grandchildren along with a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Lambert will be conducted on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Lee officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be great grandsons of Mr. Lambert. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery with the Hampton Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
