Mrs. Laura Frederick, age 85 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 in the Barbourville Nursing Home. She was the daughter of Perry Golden and Melvina Jones Golden born to them February 5, 1923 in Knox Co. KY. Mrs. Frederick was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed reading, spending time with family and watching Kentucky basketball. Mrs. Frederick was preceded in death by her husband Robert Vernon Frederick, her parents, daughter Donna Sprinkles, twin daughters Linda and Brenda Frederick, two sons Gary Frederick and Randall Frederick and one brother Jackie Golden.
Survivors for Mrs. Frederick include five daughters Janice Kelly of Cincinnati, OH, Mary Woolum and husband Don of Barbourville, KY Sharon McVey and husband Charlie of Barbourville, KY Betty Frederick and fiancé Billy Broughton of Barbourville, KY and Karen West and husband Terry of Walker Park, KY. five sons Ronnie Frederick and wife Eva of Manchester, KY Jerry Wayne Frederick and wife Peggy of Flat Lick, KY Larry Frederick of Corbin, KY William Frederick and wife Lovella of Flat Lick, KY Arnold Frederick and wife Sharon of Barbourville, KY. four sisters Hazel Frederick and husband Arnold of Amhurst, OH Mary Jane Alford of Amhurst, OH bonnie Griffith and husband Roy of Amhurst, OH and Wanda Kindy of Himyar, KY brothers Tommy Golden of Barbourville, Ky Roy Golden of Barbourville, KY Bill Golden of Amhurst, OH, Dee Golden of Amhurst, OH and Ray Golden of Amhurst, OH. Mrs. Frederick also leaves behind 41 grandchildren and many great grandchildren to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Frederick will be conducted on Sunday-March 9 at 2 p.m. with Rev. William Bruner officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow in the Tinsley Cemetery at Trosper, KY. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
