Larry Chavies

Mr. Larry Ray Chavies age 64 of Artemus, KY departed this life on Tuesday, May 25, 2010
in the UK Medical Center in Lexington. He was the son of Elmer & Edith (Pillion) Chavies born to them on May 5, 1946 in Pineville, KY. Mr. Chavies believed in the Baptist faith. He loved hunting, fishing and riding his four wheeler and just being outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer & Edith Chavies, one brother Edward Chavies, one sister Carolyn Abner and two grandchildren, Coby Partin and Anna Marie Chavies.

Left behind to mourn his passing is one daughter Crystal Chavies of Barbourville, two brothers, Elmer Chavies, Jr and wife Kathleen of Corbin and John Chavies and wife Pauletta of Gray, two sisters, Linda Chavies of Norfolk, Virginia and Debbie Ross and husband Greg of Artemus. Mr. Chavies also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. Larry Chavies will be conducted on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Collins officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will follow in the Baker Cemetery at Artemus. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m.
