Lance was preceded in death by his grandfathers Jearl Cates, Frank Jackson, and Doyle Sander.
Left behind to mourn his passing is his parents Joe & Clara Cates of Batavia, Ohio, Brothers Larry Joe "Joey" Jr. & wife Charity Cates, of Milford, Ohio, and Rob Jackson & wife Lori of Amelia, Ohio, Sisters Sabrina Marie Franklin & husband Russell of Perryville, MO, Sumer May & husband Eric of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Callie Jo Cates & husband Matt Yeager of Batavia, Ohio. Maternal Grandmother Mabel Jackson of Flat Lick, KY, and Paternal Grandmother Shirley Cates of Charleston, MO. Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Lance Cates will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Fayetteville Church of Christ, in Fayetteville, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the church.
A graveside service will be held at the Farley Cemetery in Himyar, KY., on Friday, January 13th, 2012 with Rev. Gary Smith officiating. The procession to the cemetery will leave the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
