Mr. Kevin Ray Johnson age 44 of Bailey Switch departed this life on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at his home. He was the husband of Debbie (Valentine) Johnson and the son of Ray & Debbie Johnson and Ima Faye Buchanan. He was born on January 14, 1971 in Barbourville, KY. He was a member of the Old Time Baptist Church and attended Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He had been an employee of Aisin Automotive for twelve years where he worked in the tool & die dept. He was an avid hunter and loved fishing. He also enjoyed his beloved cat Romeo.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Felix and Mayme Johnson and Lee Buchanan along with two nephews, Kevin Lee and Corey Douglas Brown.
Those left behind to mourn his passing, his loving wife of twelve years Debbie Johnson, his parents, Ray & Debbie Johnson all of Bailey Switch, his mother Ima Faye Buchanan of Corbin, his son, Brandon Rickett and daughter, Kirsten Rickett, his grandmother, Mary Jane Buchanan of Corbin, his brother, Douglas Ray Johnson and wife Wanda , his sister Mary Ann Brown and husband Gillis and Samantha Willis who was like a sister, all of Bailey Switch, his nieces and nephews, Dalton Johnson, Emma Johnson, Dylan Brown and Kaitlyn Brown. He also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passin.
Funeral services for Kevin Ray Johnson will be conducted on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Don Farmer and Rev. Jim Bargo officiating. Pallbearers will be Riley Patterson, Philip Cobb and Mark Richardson. Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery at Bailey Switch. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 3:00 p.m.
