Kenneth D. Miles

Mr. Kenneth D. Miles age 84 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at his home. He was the husband of Evelyn (Bolton) Miles and the son of Henry Edward Miles and Nannie Jane (Rhodes) Miles. He was born on November 25, 1928 in Knox Co., KY. He retired from the United States Army after twenty eight years. He was a bus driver for thirteen and one half years and a rancher for fifteen years. He was also a member of the Parkway Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Alice Marie Miles and one brother Herbert C. Miles.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his wife Evelyn Miles of Barbourville, two sons, Charles Edward Miles and wife Tammy and Jerry Allen Miles and wife Jennifer all of Independence, KY, three daughters, Minerva Jean Bromlage and husband David of Independence and Veronica Sue Davis of Swan Pond, KY, two sisters Beulah Williamson of Barbourville and Carolyn Gray and husband Leonard of Boone Height, KY. Mr. Miles also leaves behind fifty grandchildren and great grandchildren along with a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Miles will be conducted at the Parkway Baptist Church on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Vaughn, Gary Miles and Jerry Miles officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons of Mr. Miles. Burial will follow in the Miles Cemetery at Swan Pond. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Parkway Baptist Church on Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:30.
