Mr. Keith Duane Bowling age 59, of Barbourville, KY passed away Saturday January 31, 2009 in the Ephrain McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville Ky. He was united in marriage to Betty McVey Bowling. He was born on May 9, 1949 in Barbourville, KY to Virgil Pete Bowling and Gladys Walker Bowling. He was a retired Social Services Case Manager for the Kentucky State Department. He loved to fish, go boating and going to the lake, rebuilding old boats and old cars. He also loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Pete Bowling and Gladys Walker Bowling.
Survivors include his wife Betty McVey Bowling two sons: Keith Duane Bowling II of Barbourville and Lee Martin Bowling of Danville, KY, one daughter: Christy Carlsen and husband Greg of Danville, KY, three grandchildren Brennen Carlsen, Grant Carlsen and Matti Carlsen. Mr. Bowling also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Mr. Keith Duane Bowling will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Monday February 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Shane Nickell officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery with John McVey, Corey McVey, Greg Carlsen, John Curtis Corey, J.M. Hall , Dion Pickard, Kevin Patterson, Michael Nunnely and Dustin Carnes serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Doug Brown, Jim Patterson, Tommy Hall Johnny McVey and Curt Corey. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. The family will receive friends at Hampton Funeral Home on Monday February 2, 2009 from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
