Ms. Kathie Hubbard age 52, of Artemus passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2009
at her home. She was the daughter of Irene (Smallwood) Hubbard and the late Roscoe Hubbard born to them on January 1st, 1957 in Dearborn, Mich.
Kathie was a member of the Swan Pond Baptist Church and enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, reading the Bible, being outside and just caring for others. Her father Roscoe Hubbard preceded her in death.
Survivors include, her mother Irene Hubbard of Lexington, KY, two sons Michael Bright & wife Tammy and Daniel Bright & wife Sara, and one daughter Bonita Bright all of Barbourville, KY, two brothers Harold Glenn Hubbard of Washington, and Tony Hubbard & wife Tammy of Lincolnton, NC, three sisters Sandra Darlene Keller & husband Warren of Lexington, KY, Teresa Hubbard of Mount Clair, NJ and Jennifer Hubbard of Lexington, KY along with three grandchildren Corey, Casey, and Morgan Bright. Kathie also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Ms. Kathie Hubbard will be conducted on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Swan Pond Baptist Church with the Rev. Denvil Taylor officiating. Pallbearers will be Brook Mills, Seah Wilson, Chris Keller, Gary West, Dan Hudson and John Zgoda. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Warren, Knox County Home Health, and fellow church members. Kathie will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be recieved at the Hampton Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and at the Swan Pond Baptist Church on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
