Judy Ann Hensley

Judy Ann Hensley of Gray, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin being 63 years, 10 months and 26 days of age. She was born on August 20, 1952 in Knox County, Kentucky to the late Edward Garland and the late Rosie Jones Garland. On October 9, 1971 she married the love of her life Jimmy Paul Hensley who preceded her in death after 43 wonderful years of marriage and to this union two daughters were born. In addition to her parents and husband Judy is preceded in death by her two brothers: Tony Garland and Jesse Ray Garland. She believed in the Baptist Faith and was a member of Mt, Pleasant Baptist Church. Judy loved spending time camping and fishing and being outdoors. She loved and adored her family and took great joy in spending time with them. Judy also loved to try her luck at Bingo and proved to be very lucky at it. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Judy leaves behind to mourn her passing her two daughters: Karen Bloomingdale of Gray, Kentucky and Debbie Didzerekis and husband Paul of Richland, Washington; one brother: Harvey "Doug" Garland and wife Jane of Corbin, Kentucky; four sisters: Bonnie Shannon of Clearwater, Florida, Wanda Owens and husband Tim of Gray, Kentucky, Sherry Jordan and husband Lewis of Gray, Kentucky and Tammy Jackson of Texas; two grandsons: Dominick Didzerekis and Paul Edward Bloomingdale; very special niece: Margaret Seagle of North Augusta, South Carolina and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A funeral service for Judy Hensley will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 2:00PM in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Jackson officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Gilbert Cemetery at Blackwater with Eric Osborne, Tony Osborne, Timmy Osborne, Nathan Bryant, Jeremy Garland and Theo Gross serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be the doctors and staff of Baptist Health Oncology. The family invites everyone to wear the color teal to the services in honor of Lung Cancer Awareness. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 18, 2016 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM and on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 10:00AM until the funeral hour at the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel.
