Joy Perkins

Mrs. Joy Etta Perkins age 57 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Sunday, August 9, 2009 in the UK Medical Center in Lexington. She was the wife of Gary Perkins and the daughter of John and Cleo Bargo born to them on May 9, 1952 in Knox Co. Joy was a former school bus driver for the Knox Co. School System. She believed in the Baptist faith and was a homemaker and a friend to all. She is preceded in death by her father John Bargo, Jr. and two brothers, Russell Bargo and Royce Wayne Bargo.
Survivors include her husband Gary Perkins of Barbourville, her mother Cleo (Mills) Bargo also of Barbourville, one son, Jeffrey Wayne Perkins and wife Missy Lynn of Frankfort, one brother, Donnie Bargo and wife Lena of Barbourville, five sisters, Bonnie Bailey of Corbin, Geraldine Hoskins and husband Billy of Corbin, Kay Carnes and husband Ellis of Barbourville, Karen Mills and husband Gary of Girdler and Patricia Smith and husband Dennis of Barbourville, several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Perkins also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Joy Etta Perkins will be conducted on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shannon Hall officiating. Pallbearers will be Mark Hart, Ellis Carnes, Kris Hoskins, Adam Hoskins, Gary Mills and Dennis Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Monty Hart, Tommy Bailey and Bobby Bailey, Jack Partin, Steven Bargo, all nieces and nephews, the staff of Frankfort Regional Medical Center and the UK Medical Center Staff. Mrs. Perkins will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery with Hampton Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
