Mr. Johnny Roger Buchanan age 54, of Barbourville passed away Sunday March 1, 2009 in the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was the husband of Sue Buchanan, and the son of the late William John & Fannie (Miller) Buchanan, born to them on April 23, 1954 in Knox County.
Mr. Buchanan was of the Pentecostal faith, and enjoyed going to the flea markets, trading knives & guns, fishing & hunting, and especially enjoyed being with his friends.
Survivors include his wife Sue Buchanan of Barbourville, KY, two sons Steven Buchanan of Barbourville, KY, John Buchanan of Lorain, Ohio, three daughters Amy Brbrick, of Sheffield, Ohio, Chrissie Hamilton & husband Bo of Vermillion, Ohio, Julie Williams & husband Anthony of Lexington, NC, step-daughter Kristy Martin & husband Danny of Carencro, Louisiana, Six brothers Dan Buchanan of Barbourville, KY, James Brock & wife Margie of Cambridge, Ohio, Bill Buchanan & wife Janie of Vermillion, Ohio, Paul Buchanan of Sylvania, Ohio, Fred Buchanan & wife Norman of Lorain, Ohio, Joe Buchanan of Lorain, Ohio, three sisters Judy Jones & husband Andy of Lorain, Ohio, Gracie Dodge & husband Randy of Amherst, Ohio, Cathy Michael & husband Ralph of Sandusky, Ohio, and Twenty Grandchildren. Mr. Buchanan also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. Johnny R. Buchanan will be conducted on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Mr. Buchanan will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
