John Mills

Mr. John F. Mills, age 77 of Pineville, KY formerly of Boone Height, KY departed this life on Monday, March 23, 2009 in the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington. He was the son of the late Walter & Alma (Davis) Mills of Knox County, born to them on June 07, 1931. Mr. Mills was a carpenter and a member of the Roadside Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Alma Mills, his wife Lillian Mills, and one brother Robert Mills.
Survivors include three sons Scott Mills & wife Deanna of Artemus, KY, Douglas Franklin Mills & wife Jan of Williamsburg, KY, and John Mills of Artemus, three brothers Walter Mills, Jr. & wife Sandy of Concho, AZ, Gentle Mills & wife Ada of Boone Height, KY, Alfred Mills & wife Earlene of Boone Height, KY, two sisters Shirley Smith & husband Tom of Casa Grande, AZ and Lorene Morris & husband Calvin of Corbin, KY, four grandchildren Monica Jones of Barbourbourville, KY, Jennifer Partin of Williamsburg, KY, Brandon Mills of Artemus, KY and Sarah Sexton of Williamstown, KY, five great grandchildren, Raeghan and Madison Jones and Ryan, Zakery and Hannah Partin. Mr. Mills also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. John F. Mills will be conducted on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Denvil Taylor officiating. Pallbearers will be: Stephen Mills, Ray Sexton, Brandon Mills, Dennis Morris, Tony Morris and Ronnie Shelley. Honorary pallbearers will be friends & neighbors. Mr. Mills will be laid to rest in the Payne Cemetery at Bimble, KY. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
