John Epperson

Mr. John Willie Epperson, age 70, of Pembroke, KY, formerly of Knox County, KY, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, in the Christian Heights Nursing and Rehab Center, Pembroke, KY. He was the widower of Helen (Mills) Epperson and the son of the late Richard Epperson and Molly Jones Epperson, born to them on February 26, 1944, at Trosper, KY.
In addition to his wife Helen and parents Richard and Molly, he was also preceded in death by one son, John William Epperson, JR, one daughter, Wanda Ann Edwards, two brothers, one sister, and three half-sisters.
Mr. Epperson is survived by two brothers, James Epperson and wife Gladys, Bimble, KY, and Charlie Epperson, Jr., Barbourville, KY, and four sisters, Dorothy Styer, Flat Lick, KY, Kathy Epperson, Savannah, GA, Dora Smith and husband Ronnie, Flat Lick, KY, and Sally Gray and husband Charles, Flat Lick, KY., four grandchildren and two great grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral services for John Willie Epperson will be conducted in the chapel of the Hampton Funeral Home on Sunday, March 23, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Charles Carnes officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at Flat Lick. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the Hampton Funeral Home on Sunday, March 23, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
