Mr. Joe Dee Lawson age 61 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Monday, November 24, 2008 in the Knox Co. Hospital. He was born on October 10, 2008 in Knox County to the union of the late Charlie Lee Lawson and Anna Mae Price Lawson. He was a retired Coal Miner. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by one daughter Jeanette Patterson by three sisters Shirley Combs, Vickie Lynn Shelton and Bonnie Jean Lawson, by three brothers Orangie Lawson, Franklin Lawson and Earl Lee Lawson and by one half brother James Earl Lawson.
Survivors include a special friend Nancy Patterson of Barbourville, KY, one son Mark Patterson of Irvin, TX., one daughter Joann Clark of Barbourville, one step son Roger Patterson and wife Alice of Gray, KY by seven brothers Tommy Lawson and wife Sue of Girdler, KY, Darrell Dee Lawson and wife Oma Lue of Girdler, KY, Kenneth Lee Lawson and wife Alice of Flat Lick, KY, Jesse Lawson and wife Anna of Girdler, KY, Lowell Dean Lawson and wife Lisa of Corbin, KY., Larry David Lawson and wife Juanita of Corbin, KY and T.J. Lawson and wife Monvan of Corbin, KY, by one sister Brenda Lou Marion and husband Benny of Girdler, KY, by one half brother Henry Lawson of Girdler, KY and two half sisters Mary Juanita Banks and husband Timothy of Ohio and Genople Hubbard and husband Lowell of Girdler, KY. By four grandchildren plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Joe Dee Lawson will be conducted at the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday November 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Tommy Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in the Martin, Mooneyham and Patterson Cemetery with Lowell Lawson, Larry Lawson, T.J. Lawson, Darrell Lawson, Ken Lawson, and Joe Lawson serving as pallbearers. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all the arrangements.
