Joan Green

Mrs. Joan Green age 73 of Bridgeport West Virginia formerly of Heidrick, KY departed this life on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in West Virginia. She was the widow or Robert L. Green.Sr. and was the daughter of the late Joe and Myrtle (Lee) Newman born to them on March 23rd, 1937.

Joan was a member of the Parkland Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. She retired as a Bank Teller and from Wal-Greens. An her favorite hobby was playing Bingo.

In addition to her Husband and Parents she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jane Hollenback, two sisters, Ruth Baker and Edith Milliorns, and one Brother Carl Newman.

Survivors include one daughter,Patricia Zinsmeister, of Bridgeport, West Virginia; one son, Robert L. Green, Jr, of Nashville , Tn.; two Sisters Neva Russ, of Heidrick, Ky.; and Mariah Douglas and husband Tony, of Barbourville, Kentucky,; seven Grandchildren and five great children. Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Mrs. Green will be conducted on Monday-January 24th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mike Collins & Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating and burial follow on Tuesday - January 25th at the Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington, KY. Friends and family will be leaving funeral home at 8:30 a.m. for traveling to Mt. Washington. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
