Mr. Jimmy Patterson age 72, of Flat Lick, KY passed away Thursday – October 23rd, 2008 at the Claiborne County Hospital and Nursing Home. He was born on April 14, 1936 in Knox County, KY to James & Mary (White) Patterson. Mr. Patterson was a member of the Old Flat Lick Baptist Church, and just enjoyed being a good worker. His parents James & Mary and one son Vance Patterson preceded Mr. Jimmy Patterson in death.
Survivors include his ex-wife Betty Patterson of Flat Lick, Ky. one son James Samuel Patterson & wife Amy of Flat Lick, Ky. Two brothers Bill Patterson & wife Dorothy and John Patterson both of Kettle Island, Ky. Three Grandchildren James L., Stephen, Bryson Patterson all of Flat Lick, Ky. Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Patterson will be conducted Sunday – October 26th, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Merviall Newman officiating. Burial will follow in the Gray Cemetery at Sandy Branch with Family & Friends serving as pallbearers. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m.
