Mr. J.D. Mills, age 71 of Scalf, Ky. was born in Knox county on April 23, 1936 to the late Jack and Mary Mills and departed this life on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at his home.
He was a member of Salt Gum Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by five brothers Homer, Leman, Victor, Leonard and Curtis Mills. Survivors include three sisters Bernice Bargo of Barbourville, Ky.; Eseline Grubb and Hester Mills both of Scalf Ky. three sister in laws Tressie, Myrtle, and Amanda Jane all of Scalf, Ky. Mr. Mills also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Mr. J.D. Mills will be conducted on Friday May 11, 2007 at 2:00 pm in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Johnson and Rev. Joe Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Clark Mills Cemetery at Turkey Fork. Pallbearers will be Carl Mills, Ronnie Bargo, Denver Mills, Jason Mills, Jr. Mills and J.C. Mills. Honorary Pallbearers are all friends and Neighbors and Staff of the Professional Health Agency.
