Mr. Jason Ray Gray age 31 of Barbourville, KY was born on August 6th, 1979 in Pineville, KY and passed away on Wednesday – March 30th, 2011 at his home. He was the son of the late Lee Ray Gray and Loretta (Hubbard) Gray.
Jason was a member of the Candle ridge Baptist Church and the Henderson Chapel Church, he was a former maintenance worker, and his favorite hobby was wrestling.
Besides his father he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Zanden & Myrtle Gray, and his maternal Grandfather Birchel Hubbard.
Jason was united in marriage to April Mitchell and to his union a beloved son was born.
Survivors include his mother Loretta Gray of Barbourville, KY, his son Brandon Tyler Gray of Gray, KY, two brothers Rev. Tim gray & wife Carry and Michael Gray & wife Kristi both of Barbourville, KY. His grandmother Belle Hubbard of Hammond,KY,Two nieces Jessica and Brittney, four nephews Micah, Justin, Joshua and Wesley, one great niece Lindsey, plus a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Jason Gray will be conducted on Saturday – April 2nd, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis Taylor & Rev. Sam Moore officiating. Pallbearers will be Adam Eaton, Mitchell Hubbard, Anthony Garland, Brian Kelly, Shannon Miller, Tim Cordell, Mike Broughton, and Tommy Bays. Honorary pallbearers Candle ridge Church Family, So Journ Church Family, Henderson Chapel Church Family, Barbourville Housing Authority employees, Union College employees, and all ministers. Burial will follow in the Coles branch Cemetery at Hammond, KY, with Hampton Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
