Mr. James Earl Jones age 69 of Rockholds, Kentucky departed this life on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 11, 1948 the son of the late Arnold and Verda Jones (McKnight). He was the husband of China (Inman) Jones. James was member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church. He was a proud member of the United States Army James was a mechanic, enjoyed woodworking, coloring, and playing video games. James loved his grandkids and adored his loving wife China.
In addition to his parents, Arnold and Verda Jones, James is preceded in death by his daughter Marsha Charlene Jones, brother Terry Lee Jones and sister Rita Faye Owens.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his loving wife China Jones, son James Shannon Jones and wife Amber of Barbourville, Kentucky, daughters Sheila Ann Rains of Rockholds, Sherry Lou Freeman and her husband James of Barbourville, Kentucky, Jennifer Renee Evans and husband Terry Sizemore of Barbourville, Kentucky, brothers Phillip Jones and wife Maudie, Ezekiel Jones, sisters Janice Cline, Brenda Moore and husband Kenny, Rosie Sanders and husband Clarence, grandchildren, Keisha Davis and husband Nathaniel, Matthew Rains and wife Angel, Aaron Philpot, Connor Sizemore, Madison Jones, Dylan Jones, Austin Jones, Bentley Jones, Rocky Cody Evans, Meghan Evans, Cameron Sizemore, McKenzie Sizemore, and great grandchildren Leah Ann Davis and Aiden James Davis.
Funeral services for Mr. James Earl Jones will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Eugene Harrison and REv. Billy Mills officiating. Burial will follow at the Freeman-Sears Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Rains, Rocky Evans, Nathaniel Davis, Aaron Philpot, Cameron Sizemore and James Brewer. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 3:00 p.m.
