Mr. James “Jamie” Cobb, Sr. age 50 of Woolum, Ky., departed this life Sunday – February 02, 2008 at his home. Mr. Cobb was born September 01, 1957 in Laurel Co. KY to the late James Cobb & Edna (Davidson) Cobb. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Cobb worked as a construction worker. His parents and one brother Ellis Cobb preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife Sandra (Grubb) Cobb, his ex-wife Roxanna Dunaway, one son James “Andy” Cobb, Jr. & Sylvia of Blackwater, KY, three daughters Linda Johnson & husband Lofton of Thompson, GA, Sylvia Cobb & Chris Patterson of Artemus, KY, Jamie Cobb & Harmon Payne of Artemus, KY, three sisters Jeanetta Cottingin of Woolum, KY, Sue Lawerence of Georgetown, KY, Loretta Wagers of Woolum, KY and Beatrice Wagers of Goshen, Ohio and a very special friend Carol Jones. Mr. Cobb also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Mr. Cobb will be conducted on Wednesday – March 05, 2008 at 12:00 noon in the Friendship Baptist Church at Woolum, KY with Rev. Owen Smith & Rev. Tip Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow in the Cobb Cemetery at Woolum. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. Read Tuesday, Wednesday Morning: Friends will be received at the Friendship Baptist Church on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 12:00 noon.
