Mr. James E. Gray, age 63 of Corinth, Ky. formerly of Knox Co., departed this life on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at his home.
He was retired from IBM/Lexmark and was a member of the Stonewall First Church of God. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War. He along with his wife Vivian was owner and operator of Gray on Main Variety Store in Corinth and was a member of the Georgetown Post # 24 American Legion. He was also a barber. He is survived by one son, James A. Gray of Carlisle, Ky., three sisters, Deb Gray and Colleen Root both of London, Ky. and Carolyn Gray of Bristol, TN, two brothers, Bill Gray of Flat Lick, KY. and Nixon Gray of London, Ky. along with two grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. James Gray along with his wife Vivian will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hampton Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Sowders and Rev. Ted Satterfield officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will be in the Payne Cemetery at Bimble, Ky. Hampton Funeral home will be in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Tuesday evening at the Hampton Funeral Home from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m. To the Gray family, the staff of the Hampton Funeral Home would like to offer you our heartfelt sympathy during your time of bereavement.
